Holden Beach Yoga, Anyone?

Enjoying some quiet time by the ocean is one of our favorite ways to unwind here in Holden Beach, and we know it’s also a favorite of many visitors. There’s just something about the rhythmic sound of the waves and the feel of the salt air on your skin.

We'd like to share how you can take that relaxed beach feeling a step further as you enjoy some relaxing yoga during your beach vacation. Whether you attend a class at a local studio or on the beach or opt for a DIY session at your vacation rental, we know you will feel even more relaxed after some Holden Beach yoga. Don’t forget to add your yoga mat to your packing list, and then check out these local offerings!

Town of Holden Beach Yoga Classes

The Town of Holden Beach offers beginner-friendly yoga classes on the multipurpose court at Bridgeview Park, January through March. Led by Instructor Alice Ledford, they are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. All are welcome. For more information, visit their website or call (910) 842-6488. During inclement weather, the class will meet at the Town Hall. In April, the location will return to the Holden Beach Pavilion at 131 Jordan Boulevard (under the bridge).

Class fees are $4 per class for residents and $6 per class for non-residents (cash only please).

Additionally, Yoga Sculpt, a unique combination of power yoga and strength training designed to create a full-body workout, meets Friday mornings on the multipurpose court at Bridgeview Park, weather permitting, 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Combining traditional yoga poses and principles with strength training and hand weights, this high-intensity workout will leave you feeling stronger, refreshed and uplifted. Participants will need to provide their own mat and hand weights that they can comfortably lift over their head. Bodyweight only modifications will also be available. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and multiple variations will be provided for each movement.

Hobbs Tip: Visit their website or call (910) 842-6488 for more information or to confirm schedules, as they are subject to change.
