August 6, 2020

Due to the threat of Hurricane Isaias, a mandatory evacuation of all vacationers was ordered by the Mayor of Holden Beach at 9PM on July 31, 2020. This order began on Saturday August 1, 2020 and will be lifted at 3PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020.

Hobbs Realty understands that the mandatory evacuation of Holden Beach during your scheduled vacation time is disappointing. We want you to know our Town officials, local utility companies, first responders and the Hobbs Realty #Hobbspitality teams have worked tirelessly to assess and repair damages, and restore services to our island in hopes that you could salvage some part of your sheduled vacation. We are very sorry we are not able to make this happen for you and your family.

Am I eligible for a refund for my missed vacation days?
If you chose to protect your vacation investment dollars with the purchase of travel insurance, you are eligible to request a refund with Generali Global Assistance Company for the vacation days you missed due to the mandatory evacuation.

To initiate your refund claim, please contact Generali directly:

  • Generali Phone Number: (866) 999-4018
  • Generali Online Claim Form
  • Plan/Product Code: G-330CS

I did not purchase travel insurance, what now?
Per your decision to decline the purchase of the Generali travel insurance coverage offered with your reservation, you are not eligible for a refund for missed vacation days.
Due to the offering of travel insurance, Hobbs Realty does not process refunds or date transfers for evacuations.

Stay safe and think positively!

Thank you,

Your #Hobbspitality Vacation Team
