When we talk about Hobbspitality®, we often think about welcoming families to Holden Beach, creating memorable vacations, and helping people feel at home. But for us, hospitality doesn't end at the beach.
It means investing in the people and organizations that make our community stronger, which is why Hobbs Realty was proud to return as the Presenting Sponsor of the 9th Annual Drive Away Addiction Golf Tournament benefiting Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. (CRCI). This year's event brought together golfers, volunteers, local businesses, and neighbors with one shared purpose: offering hope to individuals and families affected by addiction.
While our team enjoyed a beautiful day on the course, including the Hobbs Team earning a third-place finish, the greatest victory wasn't found on the leaderboard. It was found in the lives being changed because of this community's generosity.
A Community That Shows Up
One of the things we love most about Brunswick County is how people show up for one another. This tournament was no exception. The Lockwood Folly Women's Group volunteered throughout the day, local businesses stepped in as sponsors, and more than 120 golfers took to the course in support of Christian Recovery Centers. As Presenting Sponsor, Hobbs Realty was proud to stand alongside so many others who believe that hope is something worth investing in.
The Impact
Together, the tournament raised more than $48,000, with nearly $39,300 going directly toward CRCI's mission of providing recovery services at no cost to the individuals they serve.
Those dollars represent far more than a fundraising total. They represent hope and help provide:
- More than 520 days of recovery care
- Enough support for nearly three residents to complete an entire six-month recovery journey
- Resources that allow CRCI to continue serving more than 200 men and women every year, free of charge
We're incredibly thankful to everyone who made that impact possible, from fellow sponsors and volunteers to every golfer who chose to spend the day supporting this important cause.
