The ocean waves rolling to shore are music to our ears on Holden Beach, but during the summer months, we are treated to the bonus of live music every Sunday evening!
Each week, visitors and locals come together under the Holden Beach bridge to listen to regional favorites during the annual Summer Concert Series, covering familiar beach music, classic rock, and a touch of country. Many people bring their own chairs or ride up on golf carts for a comfortable perch, but you'll see many empty chairs as most end up on the dance floor boogying the night away!
There’s a little twist this year, as the Holden Beach pavilion may be under demolition and a rebuild. As a result, the summer bands will perform at Bridgeview Park near Holden Beach Town Hall (125 Davis St.) with a fantastic view of the bustling and beautiful ICW. The free concerts start at 6:30 PM each week.
Families can still take their Sunset Slush koozie cups to get tasty refills on refreshing Italian Ice during the concerts or make a stop at Sandcastles, the candy store just next door. Both are only a short walk away from the music.

Other Holden Beach Live Music
Several other Holden Beach venues offer live music - and you’ll want to check out their websites or call ahead to confirm this year’s schedule of musicians. A few include:
Castaways Raw Bar & Grill
Right in the heart of “downtown” Holden Beach, in addition to the tiki-style, open-air atmosphere, Castaways usually features a line of live music during the summer season.
Mermaids Island Grill
Across the street from Castaways, Mermaids also offers occasional live music to enjoy while dining inside or in the patio seating.
The Trolley Stop
This is a unique place to gather underneath the building to listen to live music while playing cornhole. It’s currently under repair and renovation due to an unfortunate fire in early 2024.

The annual Days at the Dock in the spring and NC Festival by the Sea in the fall also offer live music to enjoy. Be sure to check the event calendar for each festival for the schedule of bands.
