A vacation here is a chance to enjoy this special place, and also a chance to give a little back to it.
Every Saturday morning from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, guests can drop off leftover pantry items, hygiene essentials, and unused goods at Beach Mart, 3368 Holden Beach Rd SW, Supply, between 8 and 10:30 AM as part of the A Second Helping program. Donations support Loaves & Fishes Pantry and Brunswick Christian Recovery Center.
A Second Helping is a volunteer organization that collects YOUR vacation leftovers. Perishable and nonperishable food is distributed to the needy in our area. Non-food items go to community groups like the Brunswick Christian Recovery Center.
Heading out before Saturday? Non-perishables can also be left at Sharon Methodist Church at 2030 Holden Beach Rd. It takes five minutes and means everything to someone.
