Our island's "Days at the Docks" Festival is an annual springtime event in Holden Beach, North Carolina. The festival features over 50 arts and crafts vendors, live music, and a variety of food options. For those who love to dance, there is plenty of space to shag or line dance. Attendees can enjoy free admission, free parking, and free live entertainment, including beach music. For children, there are inflatable rides, games, face painting, and impressive kite displays overhead.
A highlight of the event is the "Bopple Race," where participants purchase "Bopples" (floating balls) that are dropped from the Holden Beach Bridge. The currents carry them toward a designated finish line, and the first to cross wins a prize. Bopples are available for purchase prior to and during the festival.
You can visit the Greater Holden Beach Merchants Association's website for more information, including vendor applications and event updates. Please note that event details are subject to change. Before making plans, check the official event website or contact local organizers for the latest updates.
